  1. Concentration = quantity in vial ÷ diluent volume.
  2. Volume per withdrawal = target quantity ÷ concentration.
  3. Graduation marks = volume per withdrawal × graduations per millilitre.

Reconstitution is a dilution calculation: the mass in the vial does not change, only the volume it is dissolved in.

Lyophilised material may add a small volume of its own, so the final volume can differ slightly from the diluent volume entered.

Concentration, stability and solubility depend on the individual compound; peptides are not interchangeable in these respects.
